Internet Tool#3: Google Docs

Whether for work or personal projects, word processors are one of the most popular apps/programs for desktops and laptops. Besides native apps like Microsoft Word, users can choose from a wide range of third-party word processing platforms that have a variety of unique features.  One word processor tool which is becoming more popular than the Microsoft Word is Google Docs.  This internet tool is popular for many reasons, but the one reason which tops all reasons for being popular is the fact that it is free.  Google Docs is part of the many apps that are provided by google and it is completely 100% free.  The only requirement this tool needs to work is a good and stable internet bandwidth.  Google Docs is one of the top word processing apps for both individual and collaborative use. Another great thing about Google docs is you do not need a flash drive to store the file, it is saved online so you can access the file from anywhere that has internet access.  Most students like to have the ability to move around without carrying too many school supplies.  You can leave your laptop at home and access your files also on any computer with internet access.

This tool is a very important tool whether you are a student, teacher, or a working person.  This tool allows you the freedom to check your files without the burden of carrying a laptop or even flash driver wherever you go.  This tool is a big favorite for college students that are always on the go. If there was a top 5 list of internet tools, google docs would definitely be picked for that list.

Internet Tools

One internet tool in which I will use and make sure my students utilize also is the  Google apps . Google has so many great apps, but I will only name some which I have find to be extremely helpful for both educators and learners. For those students who do not have MS Office, I will recommend them to use Google docs. This is a great word application to use because it automatically saves your work online and you can download it to the many word formats that are out there. Another google app I really like is the Google drive. I will use google drive to save files that are too large to send on email and then share it with my students so they can also access them through google drive. Google has many more apps that are great but I will only name those two. Another internet tool I like is the Prezi. This is a great way to do a presentation. I know Microsoft has powerpoint but Prezi is very simple and can add so many other options to a presentation. TeacherTube is another great internet ...
